Dr. Net Billones

Among the leading Filipino cartoonists of today, Dr. Net Billones stands out in editorial cartooning. Able to wield his pen sharply as his surgical knife, he has been creating witty and critical editorial cartoons with a unique style that has been the envy of his fellow cartoonists.

    He has a clever flair for adding humor to the hottest issues of the time and his works mirror, in graphic detail, the events shaping the history of the Filipino people.

    His finest works initially appeared in the Pahayagang Malaya during the dark days of the Marcos dictatorship where his fearless cartoons had earned the admiration of readers of the alternative press and the ire of many corrupt officials. His works had also appeared in the Philippine Daily Inquirer, The Times Journal and People's Journal.

    When he is not busy contributing to Medical Observer, Dr. Net spends most of his time at the De La Salle University Medical Center where He is currently a consultant and Assistant Professor at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Net Billones Graduated from the UE-Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center College of Medicine.
