Making Life with Dolls

Of Rice and Men

Dedicated to our national hero, Laon/Laan: The Exhibition on Rice offers a sweeping look into the role and value of rice in Filipinos' lives. Features the extensive National Museum ethnography collection, fossil rice from an archeological site in Mindoro, antique plows, unusual stone mortars, baskets for storing and presenting rice, dibbles that are also musical instruments, and a sampling of the various rice varieties in the country. China From the Past

Interested to see the 1.7 million-year-old Peking Man, the Ming tombs? Go to Benito Cu Uy Gam Hall (Kaisa Heritage Center, Cabildo St., Intramuros) for the 100 Major Archeological Discoveries of China in the 20th Century. This exhibit runs until May 10.

 

Projections

The Lopez Museum invites everyone to embark on a journey through history and art, science and emotions, static views and moving images, and across disciplines in its exhibition Projections. Running until July 26, it features antique charts, navigational and military maps, travelogues, and works by visual artists. Stamped in

Trace the development of the postal service with stamps, photographs, and old post office equipment at the Philippine Philatelic Museum (Post Office Annex Building in Plaza Lawton, Manila), reopened as a project of the University of the Philippines.
