Welcome

Education -- specifically health education -- neverstops. Not for the average citizen who has to constantly be aware of what makes their body tick. Not for the healthcare professional who has to constantly keep abreast of the developments in their chosen field. Not for the public health official who has to keep in mind the health needs of the entire population. Not even for the most respected doctor who has been given a lifetime achievement award, or has exhausted the list of degrees anybody can attach to their name, or has been universally regarded as the greatest medical authority.

In fact, health education does not stop even -- or should we say, especially -- for us, who have made the search and the dissemination of relevant health information our calling.

As a healthcare communications organization, the MOSMAN-MEDCOM Group shares the vision of the United Nations to achieve "Health for all." By focusing our information dissemination efforts on healthcare professionals all over the country, we are playing our part in making relevant health information available to them, who in turn shall pass these pieces of information on to the rest of the people.

   To achieve "
health for all," we are aiming to provide "healthcare information for all."

Welcome to the Medical Observer website.

Like our printed edition, Medical Observer on-line reflects our quest to give Philippine health and medical publishing a human and humane dimension. It is our way of contributing to the wealth of information and knowledge shaping the world of health and medicine.

We hope that Filipino doctors will find this site informative, useful, and even entertaining.

To our visitors from abroad, we hope to give you a perspective of Philippine health and medicine as they evolve.

To non-medical professionals and other visitors to our site, we hope that you will find in the stories here not only useful information but also a glimpse of the doctor as a healer, a clinician, a leader, a teacher, an artist, a family member, and an ordinary person.
